Basic Instinct is a great thriller with loads of suspense, high tension, catchy and memorable dialogues, great actors, fabulous music score and an excellent director who didn’t get shaken by the protesters and other hypocrites. The sex scenes (interrogation scene) are really just a few minutes long, but make for a large part of Catherine’s character and are a fundamental part of the plot. The film would not be the same without them, but they’re far from the only thing that makes this movie interesting. If you can handle some nudity and you like quality thrillers, you’ll be in for a treat.
